About Us
Proudly organised by the LSESU Law Society, the LSE Law Summit is an all-encompassing platform for students to engage with the field of law in an era of rapid change. Now in its third edition, this annual event stands as the first student-led legal conference of its magnitude in the UK. Hence, we take pride in curating
an invaluable opportunity to connect aspiring lawyers with professionals at the very forefront of their legal
practice areas.
Spanning three days, the Summit will feature an opening ceremony, panel discussions with esteemed guests,
interactive legal workshops, a moot competition, and ample networking opportunities during the Summit’s
social events. We offer not just hands-on experience for our participants, but a space to nurture and invest in
the next generation of legal minds.
Our theme for this year, 'Beyond the Black Letter', aptly captures our mission to step outside the textbook and explore how law materialises in the real world. The Summit will delve into timely and provocative topics, such as emerging frontiers in legal technology, climate justice, and law’s legitimacy in times of crisis.
Furthermore, one of our core aims is to make legal practice more accessible and relevant in a rapidly changing world. Accordingly, we endeavour to explore the human aspects of the legal industry through panels on social mobility and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in practice.

Bringing together over 300 participants over the past two years from both national and international universities, the LSE Law Summit unites a dynamic community of legal minds. With past speakers including Sir Jeffrey Jowell KCMG KC, Professor Sir Vernon Bogdanor FBA, Dr I. Stephanie Boyce, and partnerships
with leading law firms and barristers’ chambers, the Summit offers a valuable platform to inspire, educate and connect.
Join us from the 6-8th of February 2026 to help forge the future of the legal industry. We look forward
to welcoming you.
